From November 13th to 18th, Professor Park of the Green Science and Technology Research Laboratory and three other professors (Profs. Kawagishi, Narumi, and Prof. Wataabe of University of Shizuoka) visited to the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) and attended the international conference held by NIPER in India. The following is an article of the published Indian newspaper.

The three days International conference will be preceded in NIPER, Mohali under the department of Natural synthesis. The workshop was named as 'new and old medicinal development'. The Director, Raghuram Rao Akinepalli was also joined the conference after getting stay order for his suspension from the Punjub and Hariyana high court.

Four professors from Shizuoka’s University, Japan were also joined the conferences.

At the same time, main guest, Dr. Narula from USA said that in fatal disease like cancer, agricultural science or plant science may be emerging as a good alternative option to reduce its symptoms when the other methods are going to be saturated. During this time, he said, the 'Neem' tree is boasting for people. By this, we can eliminate many problems of the human body like Ulcer. Apart from this, its air (Neem air) is also beneficial for us. On this occasion, the director of the institute told about the goal of the NIPER.

He told that there is continuous research ongoing where 2300 papers have been published and 240 patents already files among these 64 already got acceptance. It is expected that in this conference, at least 210 national and international participants are going to take part. 29 delegates (among them, 6 from Japan, 6 from China and 2 from USA) are going to deliver their talk. Besides, 15 oral presentation also will be delivered by young scientists and 116 posters will be presented by PhD and master students.
