Hamamatsukohoku High School students visited and observed the Shizuoka Campus
Division:Research Institute of Green Science and Technology
42 students of Shizuoka Prefecture Hamamatsukohoku High School visited the Shizuoka Campus for a university tour.
First of all, we took place the university entrance exams and explanation of each faculty by a teacher of Center for Research and Development in Admission.
Next, Specially Appointed Assistant Prof. Kanesaki explained an overview of “Research Institute of Green Science and Technology” such as background and important role in the University and he specifically told them characteristic research contents.
After that, they are divided into two groups and visited the facilities of “Molecular Structure Analysis Section” and “Functional Genomics Section”.
The students listened eagerly to the explanation of leading-edge research equipment that It will be good opportunity that they become to see what they usually hard to see.
Finally, we tell them that each person has a clarifying goal and what he / she wants to do at the University. By this, they can have a way of enlarging the possibilities in the future.
Through our university tour, we will continue to work as a “community-oriented university” so that we can help students think about their future image.
