The 2nd SU-CNU Joint Symposium was held
On May 29, 2023, 2nd SU-CNU Joint Symposium was held with Chungnam National University (CNU), a regional public university located in Daegu Metropolitan City in South Korea. Given the emphasis on presentations by young researchers, the intention is to foster a long-term relationship of exchange between our institute and CNU which began last year. This time, the institute director and three young researchers were able to visit South Korea.
Despite being a holiday, over 10 faculty members and more than 50 students participated in this symposium. The quality of the presentations was high, and it provided a deep understanding of the research conducted by each institution. Such mutual learning and knowledge sharing will undoubtedly pave the way for stronger international cooperation in the future.
Of particular note was the active engagement of students, who asked questions and enthusiastically participated. This is a wonderful sign of the continued vitality of our academic community. Later on, we heard from CNU professors that student participation in symposium sessions and such enthusiastic questioning and discussions were usually quite rare. We once again extend our gratitude to the professors, staff, and students of CNU who provided this opportunity and welcomed us. We intend to capitalize on this experience in the coming years and further contribute to its development.
