The 15th Interdisciplinary Domain Research Symposium and The 3rd Shizuoka Three-University-Partnership Symposium were held, and our research results were disseminated

"The 15th Interdisciplinary Domain Research Symposium" organized by Headquarters for Promotion of Interdisciplinary Domain Research (HPIDR) of Shizuoka University and "the 3rd Three-University-Partnership Symposium among Shizuoka prefecture's three universities" organized by Research Institute of Green Science and Technology (RIGST) of Shizuoka University were jointly held on Friday, November 19th, 2021.
HPIDR of Shizuoka University has set "Optical Application and Imaging," "Environment and Energy Systems," and "Green Biology Science" as three priority research fields in the third medium-term goal/medium-term plan. HPIDR is promoting the cooperation and integration of various academic fields, the development of new research areas, excavating researchers who can be internationally recognized in various fields, and drumming up research funds. And also, this "Interdisciplinary Domain Research Symposium" provides young researchers a place for presentation and sharing their research results on the three priority research fields.
Three Universities in Shizuoka Prefecture took the initiative and joined under the theme of "Sharing collaborative research from Shizuoka to the world!". Researchers from Universities, public institutions, and companies in Shizuoka Prefecture were held to deepen various research collaborations, including exchanges between different fields.
This year's symposium was distributed online using Zoom and held by registering 154 people, including researchers, students, University staff from three Universities, other research institutes, and companies.

It began with opening remarks by President Kazuyuki Hizume of Shizuoka University and Prof. Shinichi Nakao, who is the group leader of the Chemistry Group of Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE), gave a plenary talk. He introduced the ongoing project at RITE as an example regarding the latest technology related to the separation, recovery, and storage of CO2 to reduce CO2 emissions, which is an urgent issue to prevent global warming and the current state of carbon recycling. Subsequently, three invited lectures from three Universities and three young priority researchers from the HPIDR presented their works. After participants' question and answer session, the symposium ended with closing remarks by Yoshimasa Kawata, vice president and Director of HPIDR, and Enock Y. Park, Director of RIGST, Shizuoka University.
